How can a Dietitian Help?

An Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) is a university qualified allied health professional who has the knowledge and skills to provide expert nutrition and dietary advice to clients.

APD’s work with individuals across the lifespan (eg. children, adolescents, older adults) to help optimise their health and wellbeing.  Medical Nutrition Therapy is used to assist in the treatment of a wide range of conditions.

Medicare and DVA funding may be available for eligible patients.  Please see 'Referrals' for forms required to access Medicare and/or DVA subsidies.

Private Health Fund rebates may also be available, depending on your cover. HICAPS is available at Aspley, Deagon and Redcliffe for on-the-spot rebates.

Dietetic Fees

Initial Consultation - $90

Subsequent Visit - $50

Healthworks Members' Food Diary Review - $25
